Cedar Rapids Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell will deliver the 40th Annual State of the City address to the community on May 2nd, 2023.

The Linn County League of Women Voters is proud to continue the work of providing education and information to voters with sponsorship from our partners listed below. The 40th annual Cedar Rapids State of the City will be held on May 2nd and feature speaker Cedar Rapids Mayor Tiffany O’Donnell. Mayor O’Donnell will deliver an assessment of the city during an in-person presentation at the downtown Cedar Rapids DoubleTree.

The 2021 and 2022 events were held virtually and our sponsors were represented with their branding and level of sponsorship, included in the recorded address as well as located on the city and league’s websites.

Reservations for the Cedar Rapids and Marion events are $45 per person and $450 for a table for ten. Reservations can be made online at www.lwvlinncounty.org/lwvlc-cedar-rapids-soc or by mailing a check by February 28th for the Marion event and April 22nd for the CR event. Advance payment serves as the reservation confirmation. Payments should be sent to LWV Linn County, P.O. Box 2422, Cedar Rapids, IA, 52406-2422, and please take a moment to email dawn.lwvlc@gmail.com if payment is sent through the mail so that your reservation is anticipated. Reservations may also be made online, below, with a processing fee applied. For online reservations, the email payment receipt serves as the reservation confirmation. Sponsorships for both events are still available.
Funds raised by the events are utilized to help the League cover the cost of nonpartisan, voter-education materials, and forums for the Linn County area.

The League of Women Voters of Linn County is a non-partisan, non-profit, volunteer organization that encourages citizen participation in government and does not endorse any candidates or political parties. Membership is open to any citizen 16 years and older.
